The Hokorian State and the Kingdom of Salanda have signed a treaty reestablishing formal diplomatic ties, after the two nations restored mutual recognition on back in December 2025.
Their Majesty the Koru, Willow I said:
I’m very pleased that Hokoria and Salanda have finally restored diplomatic relations. It has been 864 days since ties were originally cut by the former Hokorian Foreign Service.
The Hokorian State is unwavering in our desire to set an example for the community, that even two nations with fundamental disagreements on various matters can restore ties for the greater good.
I would like to thank King Reuben I for his work on the treaty, and I look forward to working with him as part of Hokoria and Salanda’s renewed relationship.
The Foreign Ministry of Salanda said:
Salanda welcomes and is delighted at the resumption of diplomatic relations with Hokoria while acknowledging the turbulent past, the Foreign Ministry of Salanda notes the need to put this behind Salanda’s new resumed ties with Hokoria and move on towards the future with the new relations.
Salanda hopes that the resumption of ties will herald in a new era of relations with Hokoria, while noting disagreements on issues it believes that the mutual interests between both nations has outweighed potential with the ability to bring significant mutual benefits for both nations.
Salanda also hopes nothing the press release by the Koru’s Office to reiterate the Koru’s office wish for this also to be an example for the wider community for how nations can resolve differences and work together for the common good.
