The Hokorian State uses the Euro (€) as its official currency for all public and private transactions. This includes government services, commercial activity and purchases.
Why the Euro
Using the Euro supports stability, transparency, and ease of trade. It simplifies financial interactions with neighbouring states and international partners, and helps maintain predictable economic conditions within Hokoria.
Although the Hokorian State has territories bordering both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, we don’t use the British Pound or the Hong Kong Dollar. Using the Euro keeps everything consistent across all departments and makes administration and cross-border transactions far simpler and more stable.
The Euro as legal tender
The Euro is the sole legal tender in the Hokorian State. Government departments are required to accept Euros for any lawful transaction. All other currencies are converted to Euro and all payments are charged in Euros.
