Introduction
When you submit information and details to the Government, the submission is subject to our General Policy on Data Handling (GPDH).
The GPDH is set by Their Majesty’s Royal Office and is binding by Executive order to all Government bodies and agencies. In addition to this GPDH, Government bodies and agencies may also introduce extra terms on data handling for their services.
Who we are
We are Their Majesty’s Royal Office, the executive Government office of Their Majesty’s Royal Government (the Hokorian Government) as established under the Constitution of the Hokorian State. We can be contacted at gpdh@hokoriagov.net.
Throughout this policy, “We” refers to all Government bodies and agencies of Their Majesty’s Royal Government, including Their Majesty’s Royal Office.
Amendments to this policy
Their Majesty’s Royal Office may amend the GPDH at any time- we will always include the most up to date version at hokoriagov.net/policy/gpdh. It is your responsibility to understand the GPDH and to check the latest version.
The data we collect
When you use Government services, we will only require data that we legally need in order to process your submission. This may include (but is not limited to) your name, your email address, your National Identification Code (NIC) and your date of birth.
When you make a submission through hokoriagov.net, we also collect your IP address, device information and browser information.
How long we keep this data
We retain all data indefinitely, unless otherwise stated or unless you revoke your consent in accordance with your rights. Some services may have different retention periods.
Why we collect this data
The data we collect is used to verify your identity and for us to offer the Government service you are submitting to. We may also collect data so that we can contact you about your data and to allow you to fulfill your rights.
Who we share this data with
We share your data with other Government bodies and agencies, upon request and based on necessity. We may also share your data with approved external partners upon request and based on necessity.
Your rights
You have the right to request the data that we collect and store about you. To request your information, you should submit a details request (if applicable). Should you like to request any other data, you should email the branch of government with your name, email address and proof of identity (an official government ID) alongside a statement saying that you would like to request your data.

The right to update your data
You have the right to request that we update the data that we collect and store about you, in order to ensure that it’s accurate. To update your information, you should submit a change your details request (if applicable). Should you like to change any other data, you should email the branch of government with your name, email address and proof of identity (an official government ID) alongside a statement saying that you would like to update your data.
The right to revoke consent
You have the right to revoke consent for us to collect and store your data. To revoke your consent, you should revoke your citizen status (if applicable) and email gpdh@hokoriagov.net with your name, email address and proof of identity (an official government ID) alongside a statement saying that you revoke your consent for us to collect and store your data.
The right to complain
You have the right to file a complaint about how we handle your data with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
