The Government is committed to making the process for applying for and registering Hokorian nationality as trans-friendly as possible.
What we ask for
In your application or registration, you’ll be asked for:
- Your name
- Your gender identity
Providing your name
We ask for your legally recognised name, such as one that might appear on a Passport, ID or letters from a Government. If you haven’t legally changed your name, this will usually be the name that appears on your birth certificate.
Providing your gender
We ask for your gender identity, which is how you choose to identify and classify yourself. If you’re non-binary or don’t identify as either male or female, you can select ‘Other’.
Changing my information
Anyone is able to change their registered name and their registered gender identity by informing the Government.
From the moment your registration is submitted, even if it hasn’t been reviewed yet, you’re able to ask the Government to change it. Requests to change your name can be submitted at any point to identity-requests@nationalaffairs.hokoriagov.net.
You can also change your gender identity to Male, Female or Other by asking the Government. Requests to change your gender identity can be submitted to identity-requests@nationalaffairs.hokoriagov.net.
What to put in your request
You’ll need to send the request from the email address you used in your application, unless you provided us with a new email address.
Your request should include:
- Your current full name
- Your date of birth
- Your new details that you’d like to change
You don’t need to provide any reasoning behind your request.
Concerns about submitting a registration
If you still have concerns about submitting a registration, you can get in touch with us first. Contact identity-requests@nationalaffairs.hokoriagov.net.
