Participation in proceedings
As a defendant, you have the right to:
- present your defence
- provide evidence
- respond to the claimant’s arguments
Fair process
You are entitled to:
- a fair hearing before an impartial Judge
- reasonable time to prepare and respond
Default decisions
If you do not respond or attend proceedings, the Court may decide the case without you.
